Chad Hommes

Chad Hommes is an Associate at Berger Kahn’s Lake Forest office, where his area of focus is insurance coverage.

Chad earned his Bachelor of Arts in History at California State University Long Beach before pursuing his Juris Doctor at Western State College of Law. At Western State, Chad was a member of the Dean’s Fellowship, the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association, and the Black Law Students Association.

In his summer before attending law school, Chad was an intern at the Long Beach City Prosecutor’s Office, where he shadowed attorneys and gained invaluable experience and advice for his future career. He had the responsibility of assisting with preparation for court, attending preliminary hearings and trials, and helping Prosecutor Doug Haubert with the Long Beach mentorship program. During his 2L summer, he worked as a Law Clerk at the Long Beach City Attorney’s Office. Chad rotated through several offices while working at the City Attorney’s office including Litigation, Departmental City Council, Harbor, and Workers’ Compensation. This experience gave him a deeper understanding and hands-on skills for different areas of law.

In his free time, Chad loves to take care of his twin Dachshunds, Biscuit and Brownie, playing in a men’s basketball league, and watching Lakers games.
