Halle “Rachel” Asiedu

Rachel Asiedu is an Associate (pending bar admission) at Berger Kahn’s Lake Forest office, where her primary focus is in labor & employment law.

With a strong background in juvenile dependency and appellate law, Rachel has experience representing families in child abuse and neglect cases under California’s Welfare and Institutions Code § 300. She has authored appellate briefs for California’s Fourth and Second Appellate District Courts of Appeal and conducted extensive legal research on the Indian Child Welfare Act and dependency issues.

Prior to joining Berger Kahn, Rachel honed her skills at the Law Office of Rich Pfeiffer and the Johnson Criminal Law Group, where she focused on Dependency Appeals. She also gained valuable judicial insight as a law clerk intern at the Benton & Franklin County Superior Court, where she researched conservatorship matters and reviewed legal opinions.

Rachel earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Spanish from Eastern Washington University before pursuing her Juris Doctor at Western State College of Law, where she has distinguished herself as a Dean’s Circle Student and recipient of multiple academic scholarships. She has also been recognized for her excellence in juvenile law, receiving the CALI Excellence for the Future Award.

Rachel recently combined her passion for travel with her professional aspirations by studying abroad in Italy with Temple Law School, where she was able to further develop her legal knowledge in an international setting. Rachel is deeply committed to giving back to her community, actively dedicating her time to volunteer with non-profit organizations Every Day Action and Baby2Baby, where she helps support initiatives that make a meaningful impact to underserved populations.
