On Friday, April 24, 2020, Berger Kahn Shareholder and author David Ezra was featured on SiriusXM Canada Talks’ “Sports Talk Today” Ch. 167 to discuss his book — “Asterisk: Home Runs, Steroids, and the Rush to Judgment” (Triumph Books, Foreword by Mike Schmidt) — diving into the life of infamous baseball star Barry Bonds and the steroid era of the major leagues.

Talk show host Ryan Paton asked, “You challenge the readers about Barry Bonds, correct?” Dave responded that he did because “it seemed to me that [the] career trajectory of players that start off fast, quick, light, nimble and then add some pounds and power over the course of their career is not entirely new.” In the remainder of the interview, Dave addressed the idea that Bonds’ steroid usage directly translated to his many great achievements, along with the public perception of alleged steroid usage by professional athletes. With his book, Dave hopes to make people “take a second look,” instead of rushing to judgment.
