Representing the insurers in the Crown Fire case, in cooperation with additional carriers, Berger Kahn Managing Partner Craig Simon was mentioned in the July 18 Law360 article identifying the subrogation action filed in California state court.
Says Law360, “The suit stems from the so-called Crown Wildfire, which raged in July and August of 2010 in the high deserts of northern Los Angeles County. The blaze was allegedly ignited after employees with real estate development and investment company The Garrett Group LLC used power grinding equipment to dismantle tires from vehicle wheels at an isolated property it controlled.”
Farmers Insurance Exchange, is joining with other insurers to recoup payments made to policyholders. Berger Kahn is working with other Subrogation counsel in a group effort for the Subrogation industry.
