Berger Kahn is excited to welcome Monique L. Fierro as a Partner in our Lake Forest office, where her practice focuses on labor and employment law.
Admitted to both the California and D.C. Bars, Monique brings over a decade of experience in civil litigation, pro bono advocacy, and a wide range of complex legal matters including employment discrimination, wrongful termination, sexual harassment and assault, wage and hour violations, personal injury, civil rights, business disputes, and education law.
A proud double Stanford graduate, Monique earned her B.A. in English Literature with a Minor in Middle Eastern Studies. She then earned her J.D. from Stanford Law School with Pro Bono Distinction, receiving the Judge Thelton E. Henderson Prize and the California Bar Foundation Diversity Scholarship. As a law student, she was part of the Stanford Three Strikes Project, helping to overturn a client’s life sentence.
Prior to joining Berger Kahn, Monique was a civil litigator at Myers, Widders, Gibson, Jones & Feingold, LLP, litigating in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies. Her leadership extends beyond the courtroom—Monique currently serves as President of the Ventura County Unity Bar and previously served as President of Women Lawyers of Ventura County in 2024.
