Sean M. Leehey is an Associate (Pending Bar Admission) at Berger Kahn’s Ventura office, where he focuses on insurance and employment law.

Sean earned his Juris Doctor from Tulane University Law School, where he also received a Certification in Sports Law. At Tulane, he was a member of the Tulane Sports Law Society, where he was heavily involved in their negotiation competitions and writing journals. Sean competed in the Tulane Professional Basketball Negotiation Competition for all 3 years of law school, and he served as a Senior Board Member for the Tulane International Baseball Arbitration Competition. In addition, Sean served as the Co-Editor-In-Chief for Tulane’s Sports Law Weekly Newsletter and Senior Articles Editor for Tulane’s Sports Law Monthly.

Before attending law school, Sean earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with an International Relations Concentration, and a Minor in History from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He was a member of the Sports Management Career Club and the Delta Tau Delta fraternity.

Prior to joining Berger Kahn, Sean worked as a Basketball Operations Intern for Siegel Sports & Entertainment. There Sean helped collaborate with NBA coaches, NBA players, overseas players, and collegiate athletes to create personal profiles, interview presentations and career development plans. Sean was also a Student Volunteer for the Entertainment Law Legal Assistance Program, where he provided over 50 hours of Pro Bono legal assistance.

In his free time, Sean enjoys playing basketball and golfing with friends and family.
