Monique L. Fierro

Monique Fierro is a Partner at Berger Kahn’s Lake Forest office, focusing on labor and employment law. She is admitted to both the California and D.C. Bars.

With over a decade of experience, Monique has a strong background in civil litigation, pro bono services, and cases involving employment, personal injury, civil rights, and education law. She has successfully handled cases involving employment discrimination, sexual harassment, wrongful termination, personal injury, business litigation, and education-related disputes, including bullying, special education, and disability-based discrimination.

Monique earned her B.A. in English Literature with a Minor in Middle Eastern Studies from Stanford University, where she led student organizations focused on writing and relationship abuse awareness. She went on to earn her J.D. from Stanford Law School with Pro Bono Distinction, receiving the Judge Thelton E. Henderson Prize and the California Bar Foundation Diversity Scholarship. As a 3L, she helped overturn a client’s life sentence through the Stanford Three Strikes Project.

Before joining Berger Kahn, Monique was a civil litigation attorney at Myers, Widders, Gibson, Jones & Feingold, LLP, where she litigated cases in state and federal courts as well as before administrative agencies. During her time there, Monique secured millions in damages for clients facing discrimination and abuse, and successfully obtained dismissals and reduced liability for clients in high-risk litigation. She currently serves as President of the Ventura County Unity Bar and previously served as President of Women Lawyers of Ventura County in 2024.
