Ian J. Kitts

Ian Kitts is a Law Clerk at Berger Kahn’s Lake Forest office, where he focuses on Insurance Coverage and Employment.

Ian is pursuing his Juris Doctor at Pepperdine University Caruso School of Law, where he ranks in the top 20% of his class. Over the course of his education, Ian has gained experience drafting appellate briefs, settlement agreements, and insurance coverage opinions. Ian is also a member of Pepperdine Law Review, serving as a literary citation editor on the journal’s editorial board. During his time on Pepperdine Law Review, Ian wrote a student comment—Ripple and Terraform: Two Extreme Solutions to the Howey Problem in Secondary Market Transactions—which was later published in Dartmouth Law Journal.

Prior to law school, Ian received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics, with a minor in Sports Management, from the University of Arizona. He then worked in the financial sector with firms including Charles Schwab, Robinhood, and Equitable Advisors, where he developed strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of financial transactions and markets.
