Managing Partner Craig Simon was quoted in the Ventura County Star after the announcement of the $1.16 billion settlement between subrogation plaintiffs and Southern California Edison.
Simon served as Co-Lead Counsel representing insurance companies suing Southern California Edison in the wake of the fires and mudslides. The 282,000-acre Thomas fire killed two and destroyed over 1000 structures and the 2018 Montecito mudslides killed 21 people.
The Ventura County Star quoted Craig Simon in the announcement of the settlement. Craig said, “This was a global settlement where all insurance holders resolved with Edison at one time. The parties were able to reach an amiable solution to the satisfaction of both parties.”
