In Memory of Berger Kahn Founding Partner Tony Shafton

(filed under: In The News | July 17, 2013)

It is with a heavy heart that Berger Kahn says goodbye to Tony Shafton, an original Berger Kahn founding partner. He will not be forgotten here in the halls of Berger Kahn or anywhere else graced by his presence. Many who knew Tony have fond memories of his quick wit and humorously presented stories. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends and past coworkers.

“It is a terribly sad day for all who knew and loved Tony Shafton. He was a brilliant attorney and a wonderfully unique and entertaining guy. He will be sorely missed and never forgotten,” says Berger Kahn Principal Sherman Spitz.

Craig Simon, Managing Partner, has known Tony since he was 6 years old, and Tony was his mentor and best friend. “Tony was larger than life; a brilliant lawyer, a great teacher and best friend.”

Below is a photo of all original Berger Kahn founding partners, and a photo of Tony and his wife Sandra.
