Breakout Sessions: Track 2 – Property

Good Faith Handling:
This will be a specialty session on the best practices for property claims adjusting in various more difficult or stressful situations. This session will address claims handling problems and solutions when the adjuster or adjustment process is “under attack”. This will include dealing with the emotional or hostile insured, responding to letter writing or e-mail campaigns, adjusting the claim after and during the litigation process, working with Public Adjusters and counsel for the insured and dealing with adverse media exposure. Of course, the basic of good faith handling will come up and be discussed, but this session is intended to be an advanced course in property claim handling.

Speakers: Craig S. Simon, Managing Partner, Berger Kahn; Jim Daues, Senior Vice President/Property Claims, Farmers Insurance Group
